2021.10.24 18:58 InnaHoodNearYou Had a guy I've been seeing tell me he felt the same I do and then decided to Ghost Me.

And since we go to the same Church and I have to see him every week, this may just get kind of awkward...ugh.
I'm just gonna leave him alone I guess. We both caught feelings and he has been ignoring me. I just don't get it.

2021.10.24 18:58 violetsky372 I hate men who exploit women’s loneliness

So I am a lonely person due to social anxiety issues and as consequence I don’t have many friends. There were times when I would look for friends online and get bombarded by messages of men pretending they wanted to be ‘friends’ only to start flirting with me 20 minutes into the conversation. It makes it incredibly difficult to meet people who actually want to be friends.

2021.10.24 18:58 tedzhouhk Access Services with Domain Name from LAN (NAT Loopback?) with Linksys Velop Router

Hello networkers, I just upgraded from ASUS RT-AC68U (flashed from TM-AC1900) AiMesh to Linksys MX5 mesh system. I have several services (NAS, FRP, security cameras, etc,.) that I would like to access from WAN so I registered a domain name under my ISP's IP and setup port forwarding. It works well when I want to access different services from WAN. However, I would like to use the same convention (mydomain.com:) to access it from LAN. Previously with my ASUS router I just enable NAT loopback and everything works fine. However, on the Linksys router, there is no such option (I do read that many routers have it on default. Unfortunately, mine does not.). An example is, if the domain name mydomain.com has DNS resolved to the WAN IP of my router, I would like to access the following services from both LAN (home PCs) and WAN (any PC on the internet) with mydomain.com:15000 and mydomain.com:15001.

Service Name LAN IP Port Forwarding (External Port)
NAS 192.168.1.100 15000
FRP 192.168.1.101 15001
Here's some directions I can think of:
  1. I found this post that suggested to add manual DNS entry for LAN devices. However, I think DNS does not takes input from port number and hence it can handle at most one services (you can only have one LAN IP address per domain name). I am looking at URL forwarding (not sure if this is the correct term?) which adds subdomains like nas.mydomain.com and frp.mydomain.com to my IP address. It seems that adding DNS or host entry is not possible in the original framework. But in the worst case I have a 24/7 LAN Ubuntu server running so setting up a DNS server for mobile devices (laptop, phones) is fine to me.
  2. I know some 3rd party frameworks will add support for NAT loopback. Are there any framework that have good mesh performance and support NAT loopback? Actually I even don't know if MX5 supports any 3rd party framework.
  3. Use one of my old AC68U as router and let Velop mesh work as AP. This means I will sacrifice the routing performance of the new router. According to my previous test, the AC68U cannot do 1000mpbs LAN routing the same time when 400mbps WAN is saturated. This is very rare in my use case but just unhappy because I cannot get the full performance for the new expensive router!
Is there any other solution to this? Any advice is welcome! Thanks.

2021.10.24 18:58 Lava_Bear [M4F] Cepheus Protocol; The Quarantine of Treasure Island.

The roar of rotors and sounds of chopping wind fill your ears, it's time. In 1998 the Pangu virus was discovered by Chinese scientists that were digging in the arctic. The discovery of extraterrestrial organisms caused quite the stir amongst the scientific population but nothing seemed to come of it. Flash Forward to the year 2018, the rise of chemical, biological, and radioactive weapons has been on the rise all across the globe. Knowing the CDC was ill-equipped to deal with such a threat, Dr Juliet Wu presents a new organization, the Center for Epidemic Research and Control (CERC), the threat not quite understood at home they decided to attempt and kill the new organization with red tape. That is until the Liberty Island incident of 2019 where a terrorist cell took over the island, capturing a little over four thousand hostages, threatening to release a nerve agent unless their demands were met. The government not quite understanding the severity of the threat attempted a rescue operation which failed catastrophically resulting in the fatalities of not only the terrorists, but the four thousand hostages and the rescue teams. This was now the largest terrorist attack on American soil, once more Doctor Wu pushed for the creation of the CERC, with almost unanimous support from the government at the time the CERC was formed within months. In the initial hiring of people the CERC chose mostly from active duty special forces in order to fill ranks with highly skilled capable forces that needed minimal training in the ways of protecting the best and brightest scientists and the hardest working engineers. As the initial waive ended the CERC began its training program for the next class of individuals on their list, the first responders, EMTs, Firefighters, and Police officers were welcomed with open arms as they had the ability to quell panic and instill peace.
Then came the year 2021, asteroid was finally being shipped from China to the US for further study under CDC guidance. The ship housed a single team of doctors and nurses who studied the pangu virus intently, some more than others. A Nurse by the name of Chelsea was infected first, the pathogen mutating her biomass making her more... biological in a way. This pathogen caused her to go mad, to infect the others, to force them to change in to shambling corpses, there were no survivors, the ship had no one left at the helm. The ship steamed on guided by its own navigation computer until the computer finally shut off, the ship continued straight beaching itself on to the shore of Treasure Island. The shores caused a rupture in the hull allowing the infected crew to escape, patient zero to run rampant in the streets until police finally were able to seize her. With what little humanity she had left Chelsea attempted to flee where her notes and books were dropped on the street. Until they forced her in to the local hospital allowing the virus to mutate, to spread, to change the staff and the compromised. It all went down hill from there, the virus began to spread within hours, a quarantine put in to place to stop the infection from moving on to the mainland, civilian ships and flights attempting to escape were neutralized with extreme caution, survivors rounded up and sent back to the islands in to quarantine camps.
There was no media coverage, quickly the government put a censor on all words dealing with Treasure Island, the only people to know were the residents of the island, the national guard, and of course... the CERC. The contagion was still spreading even as you board the helicopter with your partner. You were both chosen to stop the spread, save who you can, secure the islands before the virus could spread to the mainland in to San Fransisco, Los Angeles, and beyond. Failure was not an option, both of you holding a card with a single code word on it, "Hammerfall". As you and your partner sit on the littlebird you can hear the collective rise and slowly watch the ground disappear. Static as you put on the headphones.
This is where we begin our story. Just hours after the first reports came in of the attack at the hospital. You, an OC, and my OC were chosen to do whatever it takes to secure the islands and prove the CERCs worth, we dictate Rules of Engagement (ROE), we decide who lives, what gets destroyed, the brief will occur on the flight in. But this story can play out in many different ways with many different twists and turns along the way. Romance is optional. This Roleplay is based roughly on a new game/novel called Cepheus Protocol which has an extremely cool concept and is an extremely fun game.
If you're interested in joining, private message me here on reddit. Tell me a bit about yourself. I for example am 22, male, I am a teacher and enjoy my job immensely. Before this I worked in an orange colored warehouse and before that in an armored truck. These were just a few jobs I've had after getting out of the US Army a little over a year ago. I personally love my two dogs and one cat, I also enjoy role-playing in my free time.

2021.10.24 18:58 Kelpsico 34 [M4F] NYC Area - Kissless Seeking Kissless

I'm a man who has been deliberately saving his first kiss; seeking a girl in a similar situation, or even just other like-minded folks.
I've been saving myself all this time because I believed that somehow, somewhere, there was someone out there doing the same for me. Someone with an ideal they were willing to demonstrably strive for; a part of themselves they held-firm for that one special person. Not because it was ordained by any external creed, internal insecurity, or lack of option, but because it was their informed-choice to do so; their way of demonstrating that future devotion. I still believe in such a person.
However, it seems the only other people who follow a similar-model to myself are those who do so due to religious-practice (I'm agnostic), those who have issues with intimacy (been to multiple therapists; they say that isn't the case) or those who simply haven't had the opportunity to get intimate with another (I've had offers). I am looking for someone who made the same choice I did; a decision not affected by fears, deities or lack of alternatives, but determined through their own perspective.
Aside from looking for a potential-partner, I'm here to see if there is some sort of community for people like me, or others who might feel the same way I do (i.e. reserving physical intimacy due to non-religious values).
The rundown:
+Physically-fit, been told by several women I am attractive
+Currently attaining a Masters STEM degree with a 4.0 GPA and honors
+Comfortable socializing in a wide range of gatherings(wild parties, wine tastings, group hikes, etc.), but also down for quieter introvert hangouts
+A good dancer (takes lessons regularly)
I know it's unusual to most people, but I am not here to get into a debate. It is a value that harms no one, and I am just trying to find other people like myself, so please be respectful. Thank you.
